Patient Care Coordinator
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in patient care, collaborating with audiologists and other staff to ensure every patient’s needs are met with empathy and precision. If you’re enthusiastic, empathetic, a quick learner, and a team player, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact while advancing your career. You must be able to follow verbal and written instruction, establish priorities, and maintain a professional attitude while working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing phone calls, answering email, and scheduling appointments
- Welcoming patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Checking patients in and out for scheduled visits
- Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information and abiding by all HIPAA regulations
- Collecting patient co-pays and/or any other payment due at time of service
- Work 1-2 Saturdays a month
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical or office environment.
- Experience in the hearing aid, dental, or vision industry is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office preferred.
- This is a customer-facing position, so the ideal candidate must genuinely enjoy interacting with people!
